Students Call On Governor Rick Perry To Add Campus Carry To The Special Session :: 06/04/2011
Texas --(Ammoland.com )- Members of Students for Concealed Carry on Campus all across the state are beckoning for Governor Perry to include the right to concealed carry on campus to the list of items to be addressed in the current special session of the Texas Legislature.
The hope for campus carry refuses to end with the 2011 regular Texas Legislative session.
For the past two legislative sessions, the right to carry concealed has had the broad support in both houses of the legislature, only to pass out of the Senate and be killed on a technicality of the House. Campus carry would have been passed a long time ago if not for the obstructionist actions of the same legislators who blocked the finance bill, the sanctuary cities bill, and several other bills likely to be included in the special session.
