South Carolina Self-Defense: Shooting ruled self defense :: 05/21/2020

Walterboro Police investigators have ruled the Sunday May 10 shooting at the Palms Inn near I-95 as self defense.

Laura Ann Marie Taylor-Way, 31, of Walterboro has been charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

Navar Kyel Bennett, 24, of Cottageville has been charged with possession of stolen property related to a motorcycle found at the scene.

Jocquline Darrell Hardwick Jr., 31, of Sniders Highway was pronounced deceased on the scene from a gunshot wound by Deputy Coroner Richard Carter.
