BURLINGTON, NC - A man fired a gun at a suspect who pulled a semi-automatic weapon on him and demanded money Monday morning at a car wash.
Around 3 a.m., the victim was washing his car at Lil Donnie's Carwash on S. Mebane Street in Burlington when two men pulled into the wash a couple bays over. The men were in an older Oldsmobile or Buick car that was more than one color. The man grabbed his gun from his car when they pulled into the carwash.
One of the men entered his bay and pulled a black semi-automatic gun on him, demanding money. The victim then fired his gun at the suspect, who ran away and left in the getaway car.
