Missouri Self-Defense: Store clerk guns down robbery suspect :: 04/25/2017

ST. LOUIS (KTVI/CNN) - A robbery suspect is dead and a store clerk wounded after a shooting outside a convenience store early on Monday.

Police were called to the 7-Eleven about 3:45 a.m. According to police, a man walked up to the female store clerk who was outside on a break and tried to rob her. The clerk had a gun and exchanged gunfire with the suspect.

She shot him in the chest, arm, and thigh. The suspect was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The clerk was shot in the leg. She is hospitalized in stable condition.

At least nine shots were fired in the exchange, according to a witness, KTVI reports, adding that the store is now open.
